A WORLD TO BE DISCOVERED
The gems that the world has not yet revealed are about to be unveiled thanks to recently discovered technologies and high investments on all continents.

A LITTLE ABOUT WHAT REALLY ROCKS

THE DESIGNER

The mission of a jewellery designer is to embellish a body like a painter decorates his canvas, but instead of paint, we use gold, diamonds and precious stones. With designs, I can translate the feelings and personal stories of each client and evoke their deepest emotions. Each piece carries with it a delicious story that will last for generations, forever.

THE GEMOLOGIST

A gemologist, also known as a jeweller or gem expert, graduated at the GIA in London UK, works with and identifies precious stones and gems. The main tasks of a gemologist are carefully studying certain gems and stones, using microscopes and other magnifying equipment, and determining the gems’ make, value, and authenticity. What is the main reason to be a gemologist designer? Credibility.

THE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Creative directors plan the layout and visuals for print and digital publications, products and advertising. They create and maintain a vision for a company’s products and branding. They oversee a creative staff team that produces art and designs to support that vision. “Creative Direction is the intersection where art direction and design meet strategy.” It takes the form of books, advertising, publicity and full marketing campaigns for precious gems.

“I have an incredible communication with precious gems. Our first encounters are always quietly deafening. I can understand what a gemstone wants to say, where and who it wants to be with. The combinations flow so naturally that sometimes I barely feel/perceive my rational participation in the creative process. It’s something far beyond ideas, it’s about emotions – and I only take credit for doing a good job because the whole process happens inside me. “

personal ornaments, such as necklaces, rings, or bracelets, that are typically made from or contain jewels and precious metal.

the study of precious stones. Gemology is the science of studying and valuing precious stones, but the essence of gemology is in identifying the gemstones. One who works in the field of gemology is called a gemologist. Gemologists examine gemstones—both discovered raw and synthesized in the laboratory—using microscopes, computerized tools, and other grading instruments.

THE KNOWLEDGE

Talking about jewellery is talking about the history of the world. The discovery of gems has accompanied important historical moments and the use of jewellery has marked behaviours. When we have the chance to learn a little more about what is displayed in the window of an important luxury brand, we begin to understand the complexity of this fantastic product that blends art, tradition, beauty and wealth. There is no school in the world capable of teaching everything a person needs to know to work with jewellery. We need to travel the world in search of new manufacturing techniques along with science, fashion history, gemology, marketing, sales strategies, new technologies and opportunities. The thirst for knowledge opens paths for us and new horizons are seen. Besides courses and diplomas, Icaro has earned many colleagues who are today important partners. We are a small big world of enthusiasts for the same matter, and we constantly exchange information with each other. Jewellery is a team work. In over 15 years, the thirst for knowledge has allowed Icaro to travel to all continents to understand the global market with the eyes of a creator, explorer, expert appraiser and often also as a press agent. This experience has formed him as a professional capable of handling the most diverse projects.

With effort and dedication, Icaro has received several awards in the form of scholarships in Milan, Paris and London as well as international competitions in Brazil, Tahiti, Thailand and India.
